Gianfranco Bonanome

Gian has over 15 years of experience in the areas of electrical engineering, embedded software, systems engineering, product development, project management, and business development. At IPS, he is responsible for new client on-boarding and project execution. He can be often found hosting brainstorm sessions, applying his experience to problems, and providing cost-effective, innovative solutions to clients.

Gian began his career at IBM’s Global Services division, overseeing enterprise-level solutions for tier 1 clients. He later entered the defense sector by joining BAE Systems, where he focused on fighter jet avionics and anti-fratricide measures. During his tenure at BAE, Gian led multidisciplinary teams, going from project inception, all the way to full volume production, while simultaneously working intimately with his customers. His designs fly in every Air National Guard F-16 and NAVY F/A-18.

Gian holds a Bachelor in Computer Engineering from NYU Polytechnic and a Masters degree in Computer Science from Columbia University. He is also a licensed Professional Engineer in the state of New York.
