Designed for safe operation in Ex-certified and rugged environments, the Onsight Cube industrial wearable camera captures live video, HD pictures, and thermal imaging for effective remote collaboration.
Solution
IPS was instrumental in researching human factors issues, developing initial concepts and testing them to evaluate the user experience.
Once a concept was selected IPS was responsible for the detailed ID and Mechanical design. The program was challenged by several competing requirements, including weight, thermal management, ruggedization, intrinsic safety and cost. Using a combination of analysis, design and testing, IPS came up with the optimal solutions and supported the design thru prototyping, tooling, testing and production documentation.
