The IPS Mission

Delivering product design excellence to diverse markets with precision, transparency and enthusiasm.

Our Story

Where we're from

IPS was founded in 2007 by Mitch Maiman and Paul Severino, former executives of Symbol Technologies (now Zebra Technologies).  As engineers with roots in product engineering and manufacturing, their goal was to build a product design and engineering services company to provide clients with a single source solution for concepts, industrial design, mechanical engineering, embedded software and systems architecture, mobile and enterprise application software, optical engineering and UX/UI design.

How far we've come

Beginning with a small mechanical engineering staff, the breadth of capabilities and number of employees has grown to a staff of more than 75 designers and engineers in just over 17 years, providing the full-service end to end development that was part of the founders’ vision.  IPS now serves customers across North America and global markets.

A Proud Forward Industries Company

In January of 2018, IPS was acquired by Forward Industries (NASDAQ: FORD) with a shared vision of providing customers with end to end product design, development and manufactured, finished goods.  The companies are actively and effectively collaborating and are energized by the new endeavor and are engaged with customers in realization of the extended vision.
